Dear CSP Elementary Families, I want to take a moment to thank each of you for your patience and cooperation during morning drop-off. However, I must address the most stressful part of my day: managing the increasing traffic issues. We are facing significant challenges with families not following the established traffic pattern, and this is not only causing delays but also putting everyone’s safety at risk. One of the biggest concerns is the number of illegal U-turns being made on Airport 100 Way. These actions are extremely dangerous and could lead to serious accidents, especially with the high volume of trucks in the area. For the safety of our students, staff, and community, I urge all parents to follow the traffic pattern and go all the way to the end of Airport 100 Way to make the U-Turn. Please be aware that police will soon be enforcing these rules, and those making illegal U-turns or failing to follow the traffic pattern may be ticketed. To help ensure a smooth process, I encourage everyone to watch the traffic pattern video that we shared at the start of the school year. You can find the video at the following link: https://mycspes.org/csp-families/parents/car-loop-traffic-video/. Thank you for your attention to this important matter and for helping keep our school safe. Sincerely, Tabatha Camacho Principal, Chesapeake Science Point Elementary

🌧️🌂 Good morning tiger fam! It's another rainy arrival. Please exercise caution and patience this morning on the roads. We will use the full length of the car loop, as usual. Please ensure your child is prepared to exit the car so that we can make the process efficient for all!

The next meeting of the Innovative School Scheduling Workgroup established by Superintendent of Schools Dr. Mark Bedell will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, in the Board Room of the Parham Building, located at 2644 Riva Road in Annapolis. The workgroup has been created to engage stakeholders in a robust conversation regarding school scheduling in Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS) and to consider innovative school scheduling models for implementation in AACPS. It consists of AACPS staff, elected officials, and representatives from community organizations. Meetings are open to the public and public feedback on innovative school scheduling in AACPS and the work of the workgroup is encouraged. Individuals will be able to provide comment in person or virtually at the end of each workgroup meeting. A total of five speakers will be permitted to speak for three minutes each. Written comment may also be submitted to Grace Wilson, Senior Legislative and Policy Specialist, at gawilson1@aacps.org. As the group’s work progresses, more information will be posted at www.aacps.org/schedulingworkgroup. Those who cannot attend meetings in person can watch virtually through links found on that page.
